THE MOST Mint Pre-Order is Available NOW!

Let's get the introductions out of the way so we can get to what matters most: GETTING BLACK FOUNDERS FUNDED

I started THE MOST, an engineering and manufacturing company, to make tools for women with highly textured hair. Curls, kinks, coils, naps, waves - whatever you got, I want to make it easier. I started this company because, for black women in particular, wearing your natural hair is hard. It takes a ton of time, a ton of savvy, and a ton of guts. Being able to embrace my natural hair has done wonders for my self confidence and self worth, but the world around me does not cater to this phenotype. Traveling (my life long love) with natural hair is harder. Working out with natural hair is harder. Maintaining and caring for natural hair is harder. Balancing our hair with demands of career, family, and athletics? Impossible. So I’m creating tools that make caring for our hair faster and easier and I'm addressing the pain points in our routines that the mainstream beauty behemoths miss.

The physical product game is super tough and expensive. You’re competing against foreign manufacturers and huge companies with more and better resources. Add to that the fact that I’m a Black woman founder. Black women receive .0006% of VC funding and it’s exceptionally hard to get physical product companies funded. It’s like climbing a mountain with a backpack full of weights. But here’s the thing: women of color NEED these solutions. We need our time back. We need our confidence and our health and our self worth back. I believe that making it easier for us to embrace our natural aesthetic accomplishes all of that. If you know me, you know that I love a fight, so I’m game for all of it.

I’m excited to share the journey and hear your thoughts along the way. We're reaching out and connecting with you all through our new podcast, which will be available through this platform! It's called The Shea Butter Chronicles and we'll be discussing the politics of natural hair and its intersection with entrepreneurship. If you’d like to support, please share, tell a friend, and follow THE MOST @themostcurls on FB and IG. You can see stories and follow all the ups and downs @dawndoesTHEMOST.

In the meantime, feel free to connect. I can't wait to meet you!
